The immigration at the border opens 24 hours a day, 7days a week. From Tacna to Arica, it takes 1 hours by shared taxi and bus. But if you get on the big bus, sometimes you should wait longer for other passengers. Not to bring fruits and vegetables, if you have them, you are fined in Chile side.
